Designed by Becky Lindquist for the All Pacific Northwest Shop Hop, this beautiful quilt  is called Where the Mountains Meet the Sea. Honored to be included in the Shop Hop Magazine, Becky's hometown quilt shop, Grandma's Attic, has created a quilt kit filled with the fabric you need to create this 78" x 82" quilt top. Her inspiration for this quilt was U.S. Highway 20 from the town of Philomath to the Oregon Coastal town of Newport. If you've ever been on that route you'll know exactly where this inspiration originates. As you come out of the mountains and you come up to the top of the hill, you see the blue of the ocean for the first time. As soon as we heard that this year's Row by Row theme was Sew a Season, seamstress and quilt-maker Becky Lindquist knew what that she wanted to create a row that representing all four seasons of the year. The result is The Four Seasons, four panels representing Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall that combine to create our  row. Using ombre fabrics (changes color from selvedge to selvedge) for the background, it looks like you spent more time making it than it actually takes to make. As soon as we heard that this year's Row by Row theme was The Great Outdoors, seamstress and quilt-maker Becky Lindquist thought of a clothesline with quilts swaying in the wind. The result is On the Line, a fun row filled with some of Grandma's favorite quilts. This year's row is only 9" x 18" and is filled with bright and happy fabrics.
