This year's towns have a varied history with most being incorporated in the late 1890s. You'll learn about the fascinating history of how towns got their names, prominent citizens of the day, and the beginnings of each town's commerce and industry. There are 16 blocks in this program, plus a border (not shown in this image). Most months you will receive the fabric and pattern to complete a 12" finished quilt blocks. (Some months you will receive two.) A Finishing Kit to turn it into a gorgeous quilt is available at the end of the program. Completed quilt measures approximately 48" x 48". You'll learn about the heroic struggles and sacrifices--as well as the hard won accomplishments--of Oregon's earliest settlers. Each month, you'll receive a quilt block kit containing the pattern and fabric you need to create two of the blocks in the program. Just who were the people who chose to make the strenuous six month trip across the continent, leaving life as they knew it behind? What are the life lessons they learned on their journeys to Oregon?
