Adapted from a Depression Era crib quilt, Playtime Pals features delightful embroidered animals surrounded by bright 1930s-style fabrics. Each month for the first eight months, you receive the fabric, iron-on transfer pattern, and floss needed to create an embroidered block, plus the fabric that surrounds it. During the ninth month, you receive the fabric you need to finish the quilt top (triangles and border), plus fabric for the binding. Backing is available for purchase if requested. Marks can be remove with washing or enclosed eraser. Always test to be certain marks can be removed satisfactorily. Eraser for mark removal is included. This pencil also features a soft grip for comfort.

Our newest Quilt Challenge is here! Grandma's Attic is hosting a Quilt Challenge to support Sable House, our local domestic violence shelter. Entry packets for this year's theme, The Color of Choice, include six theme fabrics in black and white, plus the challenge rules, an artist's statement, and an entry form. All proceeds for the sale go directly to Sable House. Each quilt must incorporate all theme fabrics, although the amount is up to you. This year's challenge is that you use the black and white fabrics (including any other black and white fabrics) plus only one other color--although you can use as many shades and prints of that color as you like. Quilts are due in to Grandma's Attic July 15th, 2025, with voting by the general public to take place July 25-August 11, 2025. First Prize, $100 gift certificate to Grandma's Attic; Second Prize, $50 gift certificate to Grandma's Attic; Third Prize, $25 gift certificate to Grandma's Attic.
