FAQ - Block of the Month

Our Block of the Month programs are a fun, creative way to try new skills and practice old ones.

Use them to make an entire quilt one block at a time or for quick projects. You might even want to collect each block to construct at a later time--or give to your favorite quilter as a gift. We have all kinds of programs, including machine piecing, applique (both traditional and fusible), and hand embroidery.

How it Works

Our Block of the Month programs include the fabric and pattern you need to create quilt or embroidery blocks, or a portion of the quilt top you have selected. A Finishing Kit to complete the top includes sashing, borders and binding fabric and is sent in the final month of any program requiring one. Batting and backing fabric are not included in the club price; however, they are available for additional purchase.

Fabric in our kits is subject to change due to availability of goods. We work hard to ensure that any substitution blends well with the overall theme and presentation of the block series.

When you register for a Block of the Month program, you are agreeing to remain in the program for its entirety. We prepare a kit for you each month knowing that you will continue to receive kits each month until the program ends. Our programs are set up so that you may start or stop a program at any time by contacting us. If you need to cancel for any reason, please contact us right away.

Mistakes: These things happen. Should you make a mistake and need a replacement, please contact us so we can help you complete your block

Monthly Fee

Your first block is shipped to you at the time you place your order. Subsequent packets are mailed between the 28th and 5th day of each month. Your credit card is automatically billed at that time and you do not need to reorder these programs. If paying with Paypal, we will send you an e-mail with a link to your monthly bill which will need to be paid each month.

If, for any reason, we are unable to charge your credit card, we will contact take you by phone or e-mail, and your packet will be held until payment arrangements can be made. Shipping and Handling

Many of our programs are set up postage paid. For those that require postage, we try to keep fees to less than $5. With your first packet, we include an introduction letter which outlines how the program will work, including any shipping fees. Finishing Kits (borders, sashing, and binding) are sent First Class Priority Mail (currently $7.95) as the last packet in the program. Canada and Overseas are charged actual cost of shipping charges.
